A source close to the development revealed, “Ranveer Singh will no longer be a part of Prasanth Varma’s Rakshas. They have amicably parted ways due to creative differences. They were exploring and deciding several solutions, but they have decided to move on now with the promise of collaborating in the near future.”

Ranveer Singh Prioritizing Family

Ranveer Singh is currently prioritizing family over his hectic film schedule, gearing up to embrace fatherhood in 2024. A source close to the actor shared, “He is hearing a lot of scripts, but his focus is to invest more time in the family. He is secure with his lineup, including Don 3 and Shaktimaan, while continuing to read more scripts to have exciting projects under his kitty. There’s also Aditya Dhar’s next project in the writing stage.”

Rakshas: A Mythological Period Film

Rakshas was touted to be a period film set in the pre-Independence era with a mythological backdrop. Ranveer’s character was said to have grey shades, adding to the film’s intriguing premise. With Ranveer stepping back, Prasanth Varma will now restart the casting process to bring his vision to life before moving on to Jai HanuMan.

Ranveer’s Upcoming Projects

Ranveer Singh has a busy schedule ahead, with confirmed films including the Farhan Akhtar directed Don 3 and Basil Joseph’s Shaktimaan. He is also in talks with Aditya Dhar for an upcoming project.
