Marvel unveils the official title for the highly anticipated ‘WandaVision’ spinoff starring Kathryn Hahn, along with its premiere date.
Marvel Studios has finally unveiled the official title for the eagerly awaited ‘WandaVision’ spinoff, starring the incomparable Kathryn Hahn. The series, now known as “Agatha All Along,” was announced at Disney’s recent upfront presentation, alongside its premiere date of September 18.
The reveal was made by Hahn herself, alongside co-stars Joe Locke and Patti LuPone, marking a momentous occasion for fans eagerly awaiting more from the ‘WandaVision’ universe. The show is set to debut with two episodes, adhering to Marvel’s standard release format.
Previously, the series had undergone several title changes since its announcement in 2021, ranging from “House of Harkness” to “Darkhold Diaries” to “Coven of Chaos.” Marvel even poked fun at the constant changes, with titles like “Agatha: The Lying Witch with the Great Wardrobe” surfacing on social media.
Interestingly, the new title, “Agatha All Along,” is derived from the iconic theme song featured in the seventh episode of ‘WandaVision.’ The song gained viral popularity and earned composers Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez an Emmy award.
Apart from Hahn, the star-studded cast includes breakout talent Joe Locke, stage veteran Patti LuPone, Aubrey Plaza, Sasheer Zamata, Emma Caulfield, and Debra Jo Rupp, promising a captivating ensemble performance.
With Jac Schaeffer serving as head writer and executive producer, there’s creative continuity from ‘WandaVision’ to the new series, ensuring a seamless transition for fans. Originally slated for a winter 2023 release, the show’s premiere was delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, including actors and writers strikes.
Marvel’s upfront presentation also teased other exciting projects, including ‘Ironheart’ and footage from ‘Daredevil: Born Again,’ featuring stars Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, set to hit Disney+ in March 2025.
