Recent speculations about an upcoming film featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and directed by Rajkumar Hirani have been debunked by a source close to the filmmaker. The rumored project, which was said to be an adventure patriotic movie, has no basis in reality.
Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani had previously collaborated on Dunki, a film that was well-received by audiences. Following the success of Dunki, rumors began circulating that the duo would team up again, this time with South Indian actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. However, a source has now confirmed that these claims are entirely unfounded.
In a recent development, the source emphasized that Hirani is currently focused on writing his next film and has not had any discussions with Shah Rukh Khan or Samantha Ruth Prabhu about a new project. The source described the idea of the trio working together on an untitled action-adventure patriotic movie as “completely baseless and untrue.”
After the release of Dunki, Rajkumar Hirani expressed his pleasure in working with Shah Rukh Khan during an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla. He stated, “I would love to. I had such joy working with him, itna maza aya (we had so much fun). When you have happiness working with somebody, you definitely want to work again with that person. But abhi toh scripts hi chal rahi hain (But currently I am working on scripts).”
As for Shah Rukh Khan, after the release of Dunki, he was occupied with his IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders, attending matches and cheering for his team. Recently, the superstar suffered a heat stroke and was hospitalized in Ahmedabad ahead of the IPL finals.
Looking ahead, Shah Rukh Khan will be starring in Sujoy Ghosh’s King, alongside his daughter Suhana Khan. This film will see SRK portraying a Don, a character with some grey shades. The film will be produced by Gauri Khan and Siddharth Anand.
