Ahmedabad: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was admitted to KD Hospital in Ahmedabad on Wednesday after suffering from dehydration and a heat stroke. According to the Ahmedabad (Rural) Superintendent, the actor needed medical attention following the incident.

Shah Rukh Khan, affectionately known as King Khan, was in Ahmedabad to watch the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday. He was accompanied by his daughter Suhana Khan, younger son AbRam, and manager Pooja Dadlani.

In addition to his family, the actor was joined by close friends and KKR’s co-owners Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta, as well as Suhana’s friends Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Navya Nanda, and Agastya Nanda. The group was seen cheering enthusiastically for KKR at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Despite the intense heat, Shah Rukh Khan and his children took a lap around the stadium post-match, greeting spectators with folded hands and SRK’s iconic pose. The crowd was thrilled by his gesture, reflecting his enduring popularity and charm.

However, the next day, SRK experienced symptoms of dehydration and heat stroke, leading to his admission to KD Hospital. Juhi Chawla and Jay Mehta were among the first to visit him at the hospital, showing their support and concern.

A hospital source stated, “Shah Rukh Khan was admitted due to dehydration and heat stroke. He is currently under observation and receiving appropriate treatment. We expect him to recover soon.”
