Despite three decades of playing iconic roles, they’re not ready to pass the torch just yet. The dynamic duo made a grand entrance at the premiere of Bad Boys: Ride or Die on Thursday, May 30, in Hollywood Boulevard, arriving in style atop a double-decker bus to the cheers of ecstatic fans.

Reflecting on Their Legendary Roles

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter at the premiere, Will Smith, 55, and Martin Lawrence, 59, reflected on their journey as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett. Smith mentioned, “We might have one more in us before we hand it off,” acknowledging that Hollywood has a fresh generation ready to take over. Lawrence humorously added, “The back ain’t went out quite yet, so before we do that — we ain’t going to pass it off just yet.”

The Premiere Night Excitement

The premiere was a night to remember, with Smith energizing the crowd, leading them in a chant of “Bad Boys” and rapping from atop the bus. He spoke fondly of his long-time friendship with Lawrence, calling it a “gift from the heavens” and praising Lawrence as his “ride or die” both on and off camera.
